Terms and Conditions for placing a Wedding Stationery Order

Claire Mumford reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time.

By placing an order with Claire Mumford you are agreeing to these Terms & Conditions.

Samples

When requesting invitation samples, please bear in mind that all stationery is copyright to Claire Mumford and the sample must not be copied in part or whole under any circumstances and legal action will be sought if the copyright laws are abused. Occasionally alternative materials may have to be sourced due to discontinuation etc. Claire Mumford will endeavour to match all materials as close to the original sample as possible.

Ordering

There is no minimum quantity to order, you can order your exact quantity. However I do always advise to order a few spare just in case for any accidents or additional guests you may have forgotten.

Payment & Prices

A 30% deposit is required when placing a wedding stationery order. This deposit is non-refundable and the remaining balance is required once the proofs have been signed off by the client. Please bear in mind when ordering stationery that once quantities have been agreed then materials will be ordered by Claire. In the event of the client changing the quantity for a much lesser number, excess materials left over from the original quantity will be charged for. Payment is by Bank Transfer or PayPal. All PayPal payments will be charged a 4% transaction fee which will be confirmed on your final invoice. Prices quoted to you by consultation in person, email, phone or post are valid for a term of 30 days from the date of meeting, email or letter. Prices are subject to change without prior notice and at the discretion of Claire Mumford. If you have placed an order with Claire Mumford, prices at time of order will apply, prices include typesetting, layout and printing of your stationery. Prices include envelopes with the following items: Save The Date Cards, Wedding Invitations, Evening Invitations, Reply Cards and Thank You Cards. Prices do not include postage and packing; this will be quoted for separately and is applicable to all orders unless collection is arranged. Quotes offered are only valid for 30 days from the date on the covering letter or from the date of the email/message, after which time any increase in costs will be added to the cost of your stationery. Once a production slot has been booked the price you have been quoted is guaranteed against price increases.

Proof Reading

Proof-reading is the responsibility of the client. Please check the proof with great care and in detail to ensure it meets your requirements. The proof has been prepared to allow you the opportunity to check for errors and mistakes, for both yours and mine, as mistakes do happen. I cannot accept liability for errors, however caused, which are evident in the proof and not indicated by you at this stage. You are liable for all relevant costs incurred in correcting such mistakes once the proof has been approved by yourself and work on the item has begun. Changes made to the design or wording specifications may incur additional charges if work has already begun on an item you have ordered.
Claire Mumford cannot be held responsible for any errors that go unnoticed after the proofs have been approved or for gaining copyright permission for the use of hymns used in the Order of Service. Names for invitations, place cards, table plans and wording for Order of Service sheets are to be supplied by email as a Word document or extra charges will be incurred for typesetting any documents / photocopies that are sent in the post.

Manufacturing Timeline

All stationery is individually handmade to order and are therefore subject to minor variations, these are not considered faults. Once an order has been placed and a deposit received, a production date will be confirmed with you for different stages for the process of your stationery. These dates must be strictly adhered to please and the information that I require must be sent on time, as other clients are taken into consideration with their orders as well. I may not be able to move your production date to other clients already being booked in. Failure of this may result in your order being put back several weeks, or cancelled if is too close to the wedding date. Manufacture of the stationery will only commence once your final payment and proofs are signed and dated, have been received. Any changes made to your order once manufacturing has commenced may incur additional charges.

Postage/Delivery

All orders are sent by courier, and will require a signature to accept delivery. The cost will be specified on your quote. I will endeavour to ensure that your stationery order arrives to you in perfect condition. I cannot take responsibility for late delivery due to factors outside my control (e.g. postal strike). Any damages during the postal service must be notified to me within 24 hours of receipt of your order, with photographic evidence. It is the customers responsibility to ensure that I have the correct postal address on file for posting your order. If you move home in the time between placing your order and your delivery, please ensure you provide me with your new address so I can update my records. I will not accept any responsibility for items that go missing when the correct address has not been provided to me. Once invitations have been delivered to you, onward posting to your guests is the responsibility of the client. Most of my designs will require a large letter stamp. It is the clients responsibility to weigh, appropriately package and pay the appropriate postal charges.

Copyright

All copyright and design rights associated with any of my designs belong to Claire Mumford. This includes the designs, variations of the design which have been tailored for a client, the final products and the images of the designs. Designs must not be copied in their entirety or part without prior consent from the copyright owner. Abusers of the copyright laws will be prosecuted.

Beware of small parts

Any of designs may contain small parts, they are not suitable to be handled by children. So please be careful when handling your order.

Refunds or Cancellations

Claire will not refund or exchange items unless there is a fault, so therefore work on any replacements will not commence until all the items in question are returned to me.  If your order is arriving by post, from me, you as the client, will need to inspect the goods as soon as possible after delivery. Therefore please notify me of any shortages, defects in the goods or any other complaint in respect of your order within 24 hours of receiving the goods. I will ask that any stationery in question to pleased be returned to me, accompanied by an email detailing any faults or damage. Once it has been established that the fault lies with myself, stationery will be rectified or replaced as required based on an individual basis and all settlements will only be made with replacement stationery. If you fail to comply with this, I am sorry but I will not be held liable in respect of this or any other compliant, which should have been brought to my attention within the 24 hour period. If an order is being collected in person, you will be required to check your order and signing by the person collecting. In the event of any cancellation I will retain the 50% deposit. If cancellation is made after work has commenced, I reserve the right to retain final payment, to cover any additional costs I may have incurred. Because all all of my wedding stationery and accessories are entirely made to order they are non-returnable. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Privacy Rights

Claire Mumford takes the privacy of clients seriously and all personal information given is only used to process your wedding stationery order. Personal details will be not be disclosed to any third parties. To ensure that all customers are given the highest security when making an online payment, I use PayPal as the payment system to process all credit and debit card transactions. This means I have a confirmation email from PayPal that the transaction has been successful. I never see the customers’ card details. I also would never publish any personal details in photographs I use for my website or Facebook purposes for advertising.
